About the job:
Promoting Barry Callebaut sales by visiting customers throughout the respective territory in South East Europe, presenting BC value proposition to Food Manufacturers (FM) from Confectionery, Biscuits, Ice Cream industries, acquisition of new Customers and involvement in projects with existing partners to deliver the Sales plan. Enabling further development of our positioning in the market (market intelligence, direct customer interaction). Involved in setting up the business plan with internal stakeholders (sales, demand planning, production, marketing, R&D). Executing the agreed action plan in the field.
The position is based in Greece.
Key responsibilities include:

Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers; assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services; respond to customer enquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.

Drive the new business activities for volume and margin growth through appropriate portfolio penetration

Develop long-term sales plans for customers, monitor and adapt sales activities so that these objectives are met.

Meet commercial objectives and execute the Fiscal Year plan by implementing SEE FM Sales Strategy, and contribute to the development of annual and longer-terms business plans, forecasts, and budgets.

Close collaboration with other BC departments to deliver business objectives.

Supporting the Sales Manager in daily operations and various projects with existing and new customers

Collaboration with customer stakeholders; internally ensuring collaboration with Procurement, R&D, QA, marketing, etc.; pursue higher level relationships within the Business.

Represent company at trade events to promote the company when needed and relevant with account (where applicable).

Provide guidance to Customer Service for escalated issues related to customer orders, pricing and complaints to ensure service excellence.

Manage cash collection process in line with KPI targets on over dues.

Utilize SalesForce.com to capture all customer interaction and Opportunities

Prepare customer reports and presentations as needed

Ensure knowledge and know-how within the area of expertise is continuously updated and relevant

Conduct weekly debrief with Sales team regarding forecast, sales pipeline, and following weeks’ actions
About you:

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management or Food Science
-
3+ years of relevant experience in food or food related industry in a Field Sales department or Commercial function

Business acumen and demonstrated quantitative skills

Excellent selling, networking, communication skills to help build strong business relationships with clients.

Strong English communication skills

Fluent in local language (Greek)

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

SAP and CRM (SalesForce.com) acumen is a plus
-
Able to work remotely without constant supervision

Driver’s license B
