“My aim was to become a cocoa and chocolate expert. Coming from a company where I learnt all about chocolate processing and marketing, I wanted to see what happens before production, including the pre and post harvest activities. This is how I started in the field of agronomy. Agronomy is the discipline that develops the know-how of sustainable farming practices for better quality and higher quantity cocoa beans.
I love my job at Barry Callebaut because I work in a very multicultural environment in diverse locations. I travel to origin countries in Asia, Africa and South America where I work with farmers. When I’m in the office in Belgium, I collaborate with various departments to promote Barry Callebaut's vision in the field of agronomy."
